Diet chef week 1
I was finding it hard to get that kickstart into losing weight. So after doing some research online I came across Diet chef – perfect for the on the go lazy cook, which pretty much sums up me. I hate cooking and always will pick the quick easy option, that tends to be some unhealthy snacks from the corner, that keeps me going.
The first thing I noticed was how small the meals are (apparently this is a portion size) so if like me you find this horrifyingly small then you will feel hungry for the first few days, however you can add vegetables to fill the plate. I found the microwavable frozen packs perfect for this. For Breakfast and lunch you also add as much fruit as desired.
The website states you lose 1 – 2lbs a week which is safe and a sensible amount. In the first week i lost 3lbs, which is pleasing considering I ate out two of the nights. I’m now getting used to the smaller meals and still enjoying it.
When ordering from diet chef you can pick your bundle and choose your meals. I chose a 4 weeks plan and picked my 28 snacks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. I went for foods I enjoyed and suited my day, for example breakfast bars that I could eat on the go and snacks such as popcorn to eat during the evening when I had a craving for something sweet.
I’m pleased so far and will keep an update of how I get on for the next couple of weeks. i’m hoping this helps my body get used to eating smaller amounts after two party food filled years in Germany I’m finding it hard to adjust.
